This just makes me sick.
My Cat is the outside type, so this story makes me, scared for her a little.

In my opinion it definetly sounds like a Satanic ritual. alot of Satanist use these sort of things as a right of passage, almost as a gang ritual except spiritual. That's sick that people actually degrade themselves that much to not only hurt an INNOCENT animal but to mutilate a body like that with obviously no regard, thus leaving it on the owner's lawn. Horrible.

 

How horrible! I have always had pets - now a dog and cat but for years just cats. They do and did mean the world to me.

Statistically animal mutilation is an early indicator for serial violent crime. There is one or more potentially dangerous people who need to be found by your police, Carl.

If the police won't do anything, maybe someone can start a grassroots campaign to find them. And yes where I can often be one for saying violence won't help - I'd make an exception in the cases you and others have mentioned. Animals and children are innocent and don't have a fighting chance against those who do atrocious things - and then to go out of there way to destroy the owner by returning the mutilated body....

Hi Falcon/ the trouble with the cock-fighting rings they bust here in my area, is that their Birds horribly maim or even kill the other Bird. The last one they busted up they found almost 2,000 Birds and almost half of them had to be put-down because of their serious injuries. They also found a pit in a field behing the barn where the ""games"" were held, which had an estimated 3,000 rotting corpses in it. Apparently at this place, these ""games"" have been going on for quite awhile.

To me, this is no different than having Gladiator Games in the Roman Coliseum-where people fought people or people against beasts. It's interesting to hear how wide-spread this is as part of so many coltures.

I don't know anything about regulated cock-fighting and I would have to assume that the animals used are well-treated and that authorities are presant; at those events?

Hi Michelle, I think they are going to start a neighborhood crime watch group-according to the last news report I saw about it. If I lived in their neighborhood, i'd make sure my Cats were inside. I have four Cats now, and all stay outside most of the time and mainly come in to eat, get a nap and cool off a bit, before going back outside to sleep on my porch. Thankfully, all four of them when outside, never venture more than about 50 to 75 feet from my doorstep. The house im about to move into-being a 4 bedroom house, means I can keep them in all-day if I wish-which i'd prefer doing so-unless they need to go to the potty.
