Yes it's an I-180 !! If something that minor lasts less than a day I may have to give up on principles and start posting trainers (they all look alike to me). over to you
Douglas XB 19 followed by the Wirrarry (probably spelled that wrong) bomber... An Australian variant of the North American AT 4 trainer.
Think you got it chief, I believe the right name should be Commonwealth Aircarft Wirraway and if you really want to nitpick it's a "variant" of the NA-26 or NA-33 and the "equivalent" of the AT 4 as we should be using the manufacturer's designation not the USAAF one when referring to a licence built version.
hmmm. I was hoping the black and white photo would at least mix it up for a little while, making it harder to distinguish the markings. well I was wrong with you guys around. lol Good work. Ps. Close spelling TA. it is a Commonwealth aircraft corporation (CAC) CA-1 Wirraway commonly known as a CAC Wirraway. (Variants/Other Names: CA-3; CA-5; CA-7; CA-8; CA-9; CA-16; CA-20) Warbird Alley: CAC Wirraway
At the rate you guys are getting these we might as well start a new topic like 'What is this plane by its tail fin'
Besler Steam Plane The Besler Steam Plane 1933 - the first (and probably only) plane which successfully went into the air under steam power!
