How about the Hurricane biplane variant, the Hillson F .40 'Slipwing', with the upper wing 'slipped'?

    Interesting ....

the canvas fuselage behind the cockpit, the general shape of the rear empannage, the wing fairing and the air scoop under the cockpit all scream 'Hurricane' to me (especially, the rear fuse).

But the engine cowling/spinner, the cut-down turtle deck behind the cockpit, the lack of any fairing around the tailwheel, the small airscoop under the rear fuselage and the abbreviated size and location of the airscoop under the cockpit and the shape of the landing gear covers are all different.

Almost looks like a really good model builder 'bashed' a Hurricane with a Bf 109.

    I'm out of options.

The position of the air-scoop under the cockpit reminds me of the Sukhoi-3 (I-360) ??

I reminds me of the French Dewoitine 520 in some ways, but there are other parts of the lines that look wrong.

Looks like the tragic results of the mating of a Horsa glider and an Aerocar.

Very close Gromit, and very likely also ... The country of origin would definitely consider Liechtenstein a neighbor. ;)
