Just checked the rest of the thread. We hit 200,000 just one year ago. That means it only took 1 year to hit 100,000 posts. Amazing. Especially considering how many years it took to hit 200,000.

Thanks again, Otto, and the rest of the Rogues for some very interesting reading.

The forum is like a Diesel engine, it may take time to warm up , but once it goes, it will increase speed and go on for years . It is much better than those little comet forums that will heat up here and there and vanish within month. Quality will win!

BTW, just curious, who actually got the 300,000th posting under his belt?

I think Otto got 100,000th, Sloniksp 200,000th but...

    Wow!

Almost 20,000 postings more since early August. That should mean, I guess, that by next summer we will be passing the 400,000 postings line....

I am searching for information on how I can find the where abouts of a fallen German soldier and see if there would be a picture from him. He fell in Russia and his sister has no photo of him.

Looks like we completely ran over 300,000 posts and are actually closer to 400,000! Combine these posts with the 235,000+ over at WW2Talk.com and we have a huge 589,796 posts of WW2 goodness. I'll have to come up with something nice for the 500,000 mark.

Almost 100 posts a day if my math is right (which is normally is not) and by my calculations...and C.Evans probably makes 71% of those.

Over the past 7 days, our lowest post count is just over 275 posts. Four days were in the 300s and two days were in the 400s. We haven't been below 2,000 post a week for almost a year now, and this week was well over 2,500.

Of the 354,173 posts were got here, Carl makes up just under 6% of them. And just to make his feat more amazing, he was completely inactive for two full years.

Was going on the 3,600 some odd days since forum inception. I was of course exaggerating about Carl's numbers...but that he was inactive for two years does make it a bit more impressive!

100 posts a day on average, I see it now. Those days back in 2000 and 2001 were some very lean times. Carl was very active back then, and truthfully held well over 50% of the total forum posts in those early days.
