    Hey there !

My name is Chris. I come from Latvia (small country in the Eastern Europe).

I am 23 y.o., and I am very interested in WW2. Mostly in the European Theater. Also men from our family have fought in this War. We all know that politics is a very hard topic to talk about, and many times it gets too "hot". I can assure that I always respect others, and their opinions and I always try to be cool, so mods won't have to waste time with me :).

Alright, so let's have a great time discussing one of the most horrible eras in the mankind, and one of the most amazing.

I also served in Iraq, but got heavily wounded in the head, so I retired from the military, and now I work in the Cargo Logistics field, and living in a piece with my girlfriend.

Since I am a military geek (if my girlfriend wouldn't mind, all my apartment would be in a woodland camo style :p ), I love to watch movies about WW2 and play some Video games. fave movies - Band of Brothers (MST HAVE), Black Hawk Down, Saving Pvt. Ryan and others. And I love to play some video games, just to take a look at some of the greatest WW2 battles. Games such as Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2, Medal of Honor, Brothers in Arms, Blitzkrieg and few more.

    Cheers and best regards,

    Chris.

Hi Chris. Funny, Isuspected you were from the baltics, that's why I mentionned Latvia in our previous conversation without knowing you are from there. First of all, welcome on this forum and welome as a veteran too. I always respect those who served their country, no matter where they are from. You mentionned soem great movies, one of my favorites at the time being is "Letters from Iwo Jima"

Howdy Chris, good to have you here.

I've met a couple Latvian ladies who were working as waitresses here in the states. They were very pleasant to look at.

Tell us briefly about your service in Iraq.
