Hi Skipper, very nice medals, I can confirm that the "lion" design on your Bavarian commemration medal is the exact same design as the "lion" on the back of my Bavarian Military Merite Cross 3rd Class, which I posted in #325
Thanks Andy , as I told earlier I found the confirmation on a beer bottle label too , not as scientific, but very tasteful
Great items Rich! .....I presume bought locally ya? ah very good Skipper, yes beer often helps to answer life's many questions lol
Andy,Yes. I had them a while. I cleaned a lot of dust off of it. It was hanging on my wall for years. I had to move a bunch of stuff to get it off of the wall. Rich A. in Pa.
Some nice medals Rich, it goes without saying that the germans design nice medals! ...The damaged iron cross in your first pic, is the iron core just broken off or is it a ground find?
At last, my M-1895 model Bavarian Pickelhaube with M-1915 Bayonet pike and grey cammo adapted It's all genuine and belonged to a gentleman from Ingolstadt.
and a sweet little 1914 cup made by the Silesian Porcellan Fabrik of konigszelt . (marking is P . K. with a tent) . I found this for 1 euro!
Bump..... is Imperial militaria out of fashion? It seems like I'm the only viewer left here, feeling a bit lonely...
