    http://www.biblio.com

    http://www.antiqbook.com

    http://www.eurobuch.com

    www.abebooks.com

these are the ones I use most, but bookfinder.com usually gives me the most hits. Although I do occasionally find books on the others that I don't find on bookfinder....it pays off the check them all....You can search abebook through bookfinder as well.

Oh, so I do check these before I put in a bid on Ebay or elsewhere. Usually I find it cheaper here and with less postage, etc. So far I have never been dissapointed. Received 100% of teh books ordered.

http://www.alibris.com is also good! Shouldn't forget that one. And that one gives you, as an individual, the possibility to put your books online to sell.

So maybe you should do that first and use the money to buy books.... :)

Whilst I don't personally own a copy, my Dutch friend has a copy and I've 'read' it several times when staying with him....my personal view is that I found it a confusing book...whilst there is a Private Kelly in the nominal roll of 133 PFA for Arnhem some of his comments on Arnhem IMHO don't quite add up.....I also found it disturbing that a man would be left behnid the iron curtain for so long......my advice would be if in the UK get a copy from your local library read it and then if you like it buy it......I would also add from a personal point of view that it wouldn't be on my 'must have' Arnhem books......hope this helps......

Thanks Medic, i had you in mind when i posted this given that i knew of the 133 PFA connection in the book, and at £20 given the doubts you pose " not on your Arnhem list of books to have" then knowing you;) i will heed your advice im off to the libary

    Jason,
No problem.....in Lancashire for example it costs £0.60 for the library servcie to get a book from either another county or the British Library.....so a lot cheaper than £20 and it will as you say help to make up your mind......

excellent advice airborne. When it is a bit obscure and about Arnhem, I am always interested, but in this case I will other books prevail....You description of the contents reminded me of a book I read way back about an US paratrooper.....also left behind teh iron curtain for I don't know how many years.

My latest buy was With The Red Devils At Arnhem by Marek Swiecicki
