Hey guys. While working on my Cosmology piece of work, I ran across the videos of the Millennium simulation which is the largest N-bodies simulation of our Universe. the link of the site for more and higher quality videos. It's worth it!!!
    http://www.mpa-garching.mpg.de/galform/data_vis/index.shtml#clusters

The following link takes us to a square box 2 billion light years wide (roughly 1.5% of the theoretical size of our Universe). It has over 10 billion galaxies! Every dot you see is a Galaxy.
    Enjoy...
Oh it only represents Barionic matter btw. There are others who represent the distribution of dark matter if you're interested.

I used to think the universe was flat, now you tell me it's cubic. I'm so confused!

Miguel -- Maybe you are smaller than you think but I am quite the opposite! (And, as with so many of your posts, admitting you are smaller than we think is not going to help you get a date!).:D

Za, the universe is actually multi-dimensional like 11 dimensions or so.

dgmitchell - As I said earlier, luckily, my ravishing good looks help me in that department :D Help me to the extent that I don't really have to do anything ;)
Especially in Coimbra. Girls over there are wild...

I can do fine with 4 dimensions (x, y, z and t), but won't mind about the others for spare change.

Yes, I understand they'll eat anything on two legs, three legs or four legs, so I suppose you're covered.

A brave post Miguel! Bringing Science to the Masses is fraught with danger. But very necessary.

As a fellow student of Cosmology, I thank you for the post. But for pity's sake, don't try to explain String Theory!

The trouble with Cosmology is that it threatens people who hold a religious belief. More so even than Genetics does. Because it's addressing the very pillars of a god inspired universe. Most gods seem to have had a hand in creating the universe. How very clever of them.

The answer's still 2 right? But Ill say amen to that now too...

As to string theory...Just cut it and the turkey legs come loose for putting into oven...Home Economics ver 1.0

Don't you mean 42?? Anyway, an 11 dimensions Universe is not used solely for string theory. ;)

    Last minute post to dgmitchell:

I've just managed to pick up a girl with the video I made on the first post! After having showed it to her I just said "With such a large and vast universe I can't believe I was lucky enough to be born next to you..." corny I know but it worked! Another point for the main dude! Now next time I go to Lisbon I'll be busy :D

    Cheers...

String theory is the question that all scientists ponder for me string theory is if the local hardware store has any string.
