Hello, My name is Scott, my friends call me Boozie. I don't know that you will see many posts from me on here; just trying to keep quiet and learn. My main focus is the Amercian Civil War. But, I have been doing a lot of family research and am starting to study certian areas of WWII. Battle of the Bulge,Battle for Luzon, The Mighty 8th, and F6F Hellcats. My Grandfather served as a Navy Seabee in the Pacific. I had a Great Uncle who served in the U.S. Army (T/5), Pacific theater; I am currently waiting to get his service record in the mail so I can research where he fought. Another Great Uncle served as a Medic in the 2nd Infantry Division, 23rd Infantry Regiment. He was K.I.A. outside of St. Vith (1/19/45) during the breakout of "The Bulge" and is buried overseas. It seems like there is much to be learned on here. Thanks for having me. Scott
You will enjoy your stay here, whether you post or just read. "Lurking" I believe is what they call it. Anyway, welcome aboard, good luck with your studies and research. Your family was well represented in the war, you should be proud of their efforts and sacrifices. I really like studying the US Civil War too.
