I'm Heinz 57... Mostly English, with some Irish and German. Family has been in America from Jameston to the present.
Dad's family is pretty much pure German, not sure about moms side, think there's a bit of German, French, Italian, and native American there.
English, Norwegian....My Boyo is 1/4 German 1/4 Cree. His Grandad came to Saskatoon, I think in late 40's. Won't talk much of his time in post ww2 Germany. The Germans have a thing for NA Indians I hear. Wonder why that is/was. ...Maybe because as a German immigrant post ww2 , he could only befriend others just as oppressed as he was .
A 90% of my family is from England. The other 10% is french. My family came over during the revolutionary war. All family, 2 were British troops, and one was a high ranking officer. ( some famous battle he was in charge of in a way, no idea, starts with a C i think, he took direct orders from Cornwall the general forgot his name sorry. I only know ww2 stuff
My family is German/English. I am a descendant of the Lees of Virginia coming from the Richard Henry Lee line. My family also originates from Wessex, England and French royalty.
I just ran across a few loose sheets of paper buried in a box. Radar4077, it appears you (and I), not only have Scottish blood coursing through our veins, but some remarkable lineage as well. "The Wauchope family is one of the oldest in Liberton Parish, a document bearing the name Gilbert Wauchope is dated around 1390. Andrew Gilbert Wauchope was born at Niddrie House on the 5th July 1846, the third of four children born to Andrew Wauchope and Frances daughter of Henry Lloyd of Lloydsborough, County Tipperary, Ireland. He attended school at Worksop in Nottinghamshire, and later at Stubbington House near Fareham in Hampshire. On leaving school, he became a cadet at The Naval College, Portsmouth in 1859, leaving there on 3rd July 1862. Major-General Andrew Gilbert Wauchope of Niddrie, Midlothian. :: "He joined the 42nd Royal Highlanders (The Black Watch), as an Ensign in November 1865, aged nineteen. In 1867, he was promoted to Lieutenant, and became Adjutant on 5th April 1870. He resigned this position in August 1873, in order to go with his regiment to the Gold Coast, where he arrived on 30th November that year." for much more got to; Major-General Andrew Gilbert Wauchope CB, CMG., LL.D - South Edinburgh Net

As long back I can read in my family tree: We are completly Swedish So complete swedish of myself. But I wonder if I have some German blood perhaps in me if I look even longer back.
VIKINGS...way back but seriously Irish and Scottish and then English and no joke, 2 brothers were left orphans and were messing around some ships as stowaways (can't remember the whole story) and were taken captive and forced into piracy until mid-late teens where they were either released or escaped and came to America. They settled down and my grandma traces to one of the brothers. My grandma had a Mormon cousin and they are really good at researching family trees. I bet she choked on her cookies when she came across that part. My grandma has a copy of all the cousins findings. As usual I don't have the copies in front of me, but will have to check again so I can remember the whole story. Not everyone can brag about coming from such unsavery beginnings LOL. And I am related to Daniel Boone and General Lee through my grandma's Kentucky bred family. That might even out the negative details LOL.
Dad was of english ancestry with a little cherokee. Mom was a french war bride.Dad met her when he was with the 7th Army going through Nancy.
