Lancaster MK 111 crashed 18-11-1943 Schoonebeek (Holland)

On the 18th november 1943 a Lancaster MK 111 - LM370 SR-K2 crashed in Schoonebeek (Holland).
I know the names of the crew, the quadron (101) and the cemetry in Schoonebeek.

Is there more information about this plane and crew ?

"Serial Range LM301 - LM756 This aircraft was one of 350 Lancasters ordered from A.V.Roe (Yeadon) as Mk.111s, except for the first ten as Mk.1s (LM301- LM310), delivered from Oct42 to Oct43. The Mk.1s had Merlin 20 engines and the Mk.111s Merlin 38 engines initially installed. LM370 was delivered to 101 Sqdn ex-32MU ABC equipped 27Oct43. LM370 also took part in the key Operation against Berlin 18/19Nov43. When lost this aircraft was on its second operation and had a total of 18 hours. Airborne 1721 18Nov43 from Ludford Magna. Came down at Oud Schoonebeek (Drenthe), 14 km SSE of Emmen, Holland. all are buried in Schoonebeek (Oud Schoonebeek) General cemetery. F/S Gillins had previously completed a tour of operations with No.150 Sqdn, his DFM being Gazetted 12Jan43. Feldwebel Rudi Frank flying a Bf 110G-4 of 2./NJG 3 for his 23rd victory at 23.12 hrs. over Schoonbeek, 40km west of Meppen -Leghorn.

I am happy that everybody on this forum tries to help me.

 

Rudolf Frank was awarded the Ritterkreuz on April 6 1944 and was later KIA on April 26/27, 1944 in action with a Lancaster shooting down his victim it exploded killing Rudolf while his two man crew were able to parachute to safety from Bf 110G-4 D5+CL.

Rudolf flew 183 missions and had 45 night victories to his credit.

Erich, Just came across this site. For you the Luftwaffe Losses might be of interest. Quite a few NJ crews on there: Aircrew Remembrance Society Losses

 

This aircraft was the first ABC-equipped Lancaster from 101 Sqn to be shot down thus giving the Luftwaffe an early Christmas present.
