Well i live in the Chicagoland area in the US of A. I was wondering, if anyone that lives in this area knows of any WW2 shows, or gun shows, or anything of that matter that will be in my area. Even if you dont live in this area, what about a link that may guide me in the right direction. Your help would be much appreciated.

Hey there Il Duce...I'm from the southwest side myself. The Pritzker Military Library downtown has a series of events with various authors throughout the month. One that I hope to be attending is scheduled for February 9th by the authors of Shattered Sword: The Untold Story of the Battle of Midway, Jonathon Parshall and Anthony Tully. A link for the website is listed below.

Thank you very much, i will have to check that out. Do you know of any gun shows where they sell historic WW2 things. I would like to purchase an M1 Garand, or a thompson, etc....

Well they used to have a monthly gun show at Balmoral Race Track but they closed due to lack of attendence earlier this year. I know there is one in Crown Point, Indiana from time to time but I'm not sure when the next one is. I'll see if I can't come up with a time and date for the next one. There are usually enough dealers there selling Garands...whether they can date them to WWII or not I'm not too sure.
