Good game. Liked the plot and the graphics. It's about liberation of France and US forces beating Wehrmacht. The second campaign however features germans struggling with Russians on the Eastern Front near Warsaw. It looked like the real history (I've checked the books). Anyone played it? What do you think of it?

This game is really hard, but it doesn't mean that it's bad. I think it's more hardcore oriented. It took me almost 2 weeks to complete both campaigns. And I still have a wish to play multiplayer (in fact I do it very often) and restart the campaings.
It's wrong to compare Men of War to Order of War. MoW is more about micro. You win battles using one tank and just a handful of solders. So it's more about fantasy then history :) And besides, it's the only game where I've been killedin the tutorial, and I think it's a bug.
Order of War also has so-called direct control. It's just a bit modified. In MoW you control a tank and give him orders where to go and who to shoot. In Order of War you care more about strategy. You can also give orders on where to go and what to shoot at. But you control a company and when you give it the order to shoot the enemy company, the tanks choose the tartgets on their own within that enemy company.

So these two games are incomparable. They are about different things. But anyway I give Order of War more play time than MoW. But tastes differ ;)

Quite right. Not comparable. In fact Men of War seems harder to me. I've played both demos on steam, and they are equally attractive to me. Want either or both.

Never really got in to Order of War, got kinda repetetiv after a while and feld't abit shallow.
The graphics are good and i like the cinematic camera mode, but thats about it.

"MoW is more about micro. You win battles using one tank and just a handful of solders. So it's more about fantasy then history"

First of not all missions are like that, Second last soviet mission in MoW both sides had lost about 1000 troops each before the fight was over.

But yeah i understand your point and many times in SP you normaly fight overwelming odds.
But the reason why is because in an advanced game like MoW the AI will never be as good as a Human player. There for MoW fits best for Multiplayer.

In Order of War its more like a traditional RTS, stats vs stats and once your tanks go up against the enemy tanks, the player can't really affect the outcome of the battle as much.
While in MoW even the smallest unit can **** up even the heaviest tank if used right.
That alone is why i prefere MoW, Since all units has so much more possiblies.

It's your choice buddy! I didn't say that MoW is bad. It's just not for me! If I would ever like to play a Rambo style WW2 I'd better play Call of Duty 2. But for now I'm into division-style of war. And therefore Order of War is my choice.

You can't really call MoW rambo style in any way, since its more realistic then most WW2 games.

ROFL ))) One of the least realistic games I've ever played )))) Order of War, Call of Duty and Company of Heroes! There's nothing more realistic then these three!

P.S. and please stop promoting your game... do it in a separate topic...

Dude seriously you obviously haven't played the game. You can't seriously say MoW is just as unrealistic as CoH and OoW? Thats just retarded.
MoW may not be Theated or War realistic and the campaign is kinda crappy. But dude MoW has advanced pentration system, good fog of war, weapons and tanks that act more like they did in real life.
You can utilize alot of strats that in MoW that not many games can.
The CoH gameplay is nothing like MoW, Tanks have hitpoints, some weapons are as deadly as softair guns and you can just blob infantry and run in the open towards enemy armor. The list can be made much much longer..

Seriously i dont mean to promote the MoW, but when you come with stupied comments like CoH is just as realistic as MoW i have to say something.

Take it easy, lets keep the name calling to a non existence here.

I'd like to hear this, how can you make this list longer? What are the 'Strats' that you can use in this game that you can't in others?

You can write as many post as you can saying that MoW is good as heaven. But that would be a lie. CoH and Order of War have better gameplay.

Fog of war can not be good or bad. It's just there or not. I've had a chance to beta-test RUSE already and that's the second game I've tried after Order of War that doesn't need FOW at all. So FOw is not a plus.

Let's speak about penetration system. As a player I don't care about penetration system. I want death look like in real life. And if there's a life bar, well, I also don't care about that. So you can write that you have a good penetration system but who cares?

This is a topic about Order of War so let's talk about it. Tanks, SPgs infantry, AAGs etc. look much more real than in MoW. You need to be blind if you don't see it. And you really know it but you can't say it 'cause you're a PR guy from MoW )))

"The CoH gameplay is nothing like MoW" - the most stupid thing I've ever heard!

MoW sucks! Order of War rulez!

This has now gone far enough, next time stay on topic and lets keep it clean and not let it turn into a mud slinging match.
