hey, does anyone have the possibility to get ww2 documents from the "BIOS - British Intelligence Objectives Sub-Committee / CIOS - Combined Intelligence Objectives Sub-Committee / FIAT - Field Information Agency, Technical /JIOA - Joint Intelligence Objectives Agency"? i need everything connected to the german underground factories, especially the one where the me-262 was produced, it's in the "walpersberg" near "kahla"....the codename was "lachs". i have a small map which i really would need in high resolution...it was made by "special report CIOS team 163" it is "illustration No. 12" "Reg No 58766" thanks
why does noone answer? isn't here anyone who works for british or american gouverment in some archives?
hmmm...maybe i am too stupid for it, but cios had no hits in there, only bios, a 2 side pdf document....didn't help so much, but thanks anyways
If you do a Google search on the subject you will come up with a number of resources. Very little of the original documents posted on-line. I had the gov't address where the archives are held. Can't find it at the moment. Will keep looking. Some of the later ones are posted here: British Intelligence Objectives Sub-Committee (BIOS)
exactly those reports is what i am looking for..... hoped they would be online somewhere... would be great if u find anything about that.....there are so many projects running for me at the moment......and to have some 100% correct informations, that's very helpful....there's always a point where the "i heard some say"- and "rumorlike" information lead to nowhere, that's why i want to have the good informations
It's an arcane business using their search-engine, but if you just start with typing 'CIOS' into the UK's National Archives site there's a host of documents in the right sort of area you're looking in. Eg: etc. They'll copy most documents if you're unable to visit... for a price (though I don't know what their policy on supplying stuff internationally is). Risky business though, so be sure you know exactly what you're after. Cheers, Adam.
ok, thanks....that looks good on first sight, gonna try to find something in there, hope it works.... so it seems not many people in here are so interested in those subjects.....u don't know what u miss!!! hehe
