Read in Master bombers by Sean Feast that LMF ( Lacking in morale fibre ) were sent to Sheffield. What was actually there and what happened to soldiers ending up in Sheffield? Thanx for any answers!

    Kai,
Couple of small comments in Middlebrook's Nuremburg Raid.....page 55..those found to be suffering from LMF were reduced in rank and put on menial duties.
Then later he talks about the 'Aircrew Refresher School' at Sheffield....Middlebrook 'Serious ill-discipline by an individual or a crew was punished with a spell at the quaintly named Aircrew Refresher School.'
Regretfully nothing else but as a unit there ought to be some records at the NA...????

By the sound of it a glasshouse for aircrew to make them see the error of their ways and then back to a squadron for operations.....
