"It's a day Annie Ruth Owen thought would never come; the day she'd bury her first husband. Her husband, Lt. Woodie McVay, has been listed as missing in action since 1944. The 26 year old Navy fighter pilot was shot down over the Pacific during World War II. Six decades passed before Lt. McVay's family, many of whom he never laid eyes on, learned what happened to the young man considered among the greatest generation. Lt. McVay was buried in Saipan at a Catholic cemetary - his grave marked unknown for years."

    Somebody screwed up....

Home is the sailor, home from sea:
    Her far-borne canvas furled
The ship pours shining on the quay
    The plunder of the world.

Home is the hunter from the hill:
    Fast in the boundless snare
All flesh lies taken at his will
    And every fowl of air.

'Tis evening on the moorland free,
    The starlit wave is still:
Home is the sailor from the sea,
    The hunter from the hill.

"Back Home in sweet Alabama soil".....Thank You Lt McVay for your service and sacrifice!
