Kids these days, don't know what a good game is! Claiming that COD 3 is the best COD game ever is akin to Trolling!

I can only wonder what you guys have been smoking.

COD 3 was released for consoles only - complete sell out of the brand which had a huge if not almost exclusive PC following. It was released shortly after the PS3, if I recall, using the next generation of gaming graphics. You can't compare.

Treyarch, as a brand, has done bad things to the COD series. They changed things that didn't need fixing, and added things that were horrible to the game.

Honestly I think its about time for the CoD series to die, there is only so many titles you can make under a brand name before it starts to destroy any reputation it once had.

    I liked:
    Call of Duty 1
Call of Duty 2 (favourite of the series, gotta love those bolt-action rifles)
Call of Duty 3 (at least I'm not the only one)
Call of Duty 4 (Wish it was longer)
Call of Duty 5: World at War (The gore etc really gives an insight of what the Americans, Japanese, Germans etc had to go through)

    Modern Warfare 2 was TERRIBLE!
Way to short, very unrealistic, terrible community (12 year olds EVERYWHERE) , hackers etc
I could go on and on.

EDIT: Damn didn't see the post date, oops.

Matt, i think you are the one that needs to get his head checked, have you even tried it? I think Cod 3 was a good game, even though it is only for the console, it is still a very good game. I have played all the Cod games(Except Black Ops) And i have to say COD 3 has one of the best Single Player campaigns.

Yes, I have played every COD Game. COD 3 is widely considered the worst of the series and a complete sell out of the franchise. The COD Franchise is what it is today because of the PC Gamers, not the console, and here they go and make a console-only version of the game, with a class/leveling system that was completely different then any other game. There is a reason why subsequent COD Games do not resemble COD 3 at all and people pretend COD 3 never existed.

I have played pretty much every CoD game except for the few on the PsP, and i would have to say that my top three would be CoD2, CoD Finest Hour, and CoD Black Ops with the original CoD and CoD UO being some great honorable mentions per say.

I thought Call of Duty 2 had quite a relation to Saving Private Ryan, except without saving anyone. the names were the same, too. well, some of them.

I think the generation gap speaks for itself here.

COD: UO is hands down the best COD game they ever made.
Black Ops is better then most of the more recent versions, but it has its weak points. They're starting not to feel like COD games anymore.

I actually remember playing CoD2: Big Red One on the PS2 and it was actually a fairly good game, it at least gave your squad some character rather than all but one or two characters being cannon fodder.

Agreed, CoD:UO multiplayer is absolutely fantastic, though I haven't played any CoD version in years. W@W gets high marks also.
