    peter as I said! liner looks o.k.and no issues,helmet is o.k.but ss? and postwar paint wash,and an ss chinstrap? which is in itself a rarity to say the least,if you want a second opinion send pics to the website named above German-Helmets.com absolutely free appraisal,ray..

    Hi Pete, im sure ;-)) I will say I am no expert on anything other than what I had or have in my collection but, that "SS" lid is not consistant with ones I have seen on sites or seen in person. Also, why portray a chinstrap as being original to that particular Lid when you can clearly see the strap has a differing amount of "age" and wear. Someone has dressed up that lid in order to make it worth more.
