    Aloha nui loa, Y'All,
    Alas my user name is incorrect...the sensitive keys on the wife's laptop caused me to have a double "D" in my name...

    HELP, how do I delete that "DD"???

    When it comes to my favorite WWII topic "Pearl Harbor", I MAY? be able to help the tactical, technical and some strategic discussions... but NOT the political discussions as I steer away from the fools who suggest that FDR knew about "Pearl Harbor" before the first bomb drop.

    I don't know how you will accomplish that correction, but welcome to this board. I know you will just love it, and from past experience I know the members here will appreciate your contributions. We have few Stinnett fans stay for long.

    Folks, David is much better at the Pearl Harbor material than I am. I pity the next CTer that crosses his bows.

    Welcome David. I always loved the one that British pilots flying planes painted to resemble Japanese Zeros and torpedo bombers attacked Pearl Harbor; a plot orchestrated by Churchill to get the US in the war sooner. :eek:

    Don't forget the divers with limpet mines to make sure the BBs sunk.

    David, I have finally found a speech where the speaker actually recommends scrapping the BBs back in 1940. Of course he also says we should build a whole new battleline with modern ships, so the concept that BBs are useless is still without contemporary support. (You'd think that had been cleared up in May, '41.)

    ok ill recant before formerjughead sails a battleship over the pond..wellcome to you. and i have it on good authority our winston . as we called him in the rose and crown ...never bought a beer..told fdr to sail the uss reagan and nimitZ out before the attack..
