While mildly concerned that you went to the trouble of working that out :eh:, might I guess you have worked on the principle that Urqh is travelling in an exclusively straight line from post to post, and not indulging in wild variations of direction between points.
This could well be an erroneous assumption.

As for his Windmill & it's square footage... Is that a euphemism? :shifty:.

I think it would be accurate to say that urqh says the same things over and over; once in a while what he writes is applicable to the thread he is replying. Blind squirrels and broken clocks and all that wot

von poop...sir...my tangents always are relevant to the circumference of my circle of opinion sir...which means my opinions worthless though they are unless on my specialist subject of usmc heads of various ships isbn 767685 9.99 in all good stores..is equal sir...to the difference in radius of my windmill sails turning point..british gmt and summer time of course..i have found though that unlike british heads usmc heads like their battlefields are untidy places in the whole sir.

Straight lines are over-rated, as is thinking in them.
    Sir.

I've tried to buy your book, but it has already become a valuable collectors item and is now well beyond my price range. One dealer said he could get me a copy but on returning to his shop the National Trust had been in and converted everything to a rather large and knobbly Windmill, no books present at all .
    Sir.

Heh heh, this picture reminds me of a funny incident I saw happen around 25 years ago. I was with a friend and we were in his garage listening to records when his nephew-who was only about 6 at the time, came in and headed right for an electrical outlet and proceded to get the shocking of his life before we could get to him to stop him from urinating into said electrical outlet. Greg-my friend-was laughing his butt off but we knocked his nephew out of the way and after that-he started to cry-not from the pains recieved but, because his uncle was laughing at him. i waited to laugh about the incident-when brian (the nephew) left the garage to look for his daddy ;-00

The daddy appeared a few minutes later asking why was brian crying/ and we told him and he gog a nice laugh from it. All he said is that he guessed that Brian learned his lesson that in the future, he was not to wizz into any electrical outlet.

I beg to differ Sir. Just the other day I had to oppurtunity to watch a show regarding the current state of the WW1 battlefield near Yper. I was appalled to see an abundance of Enfield rifles and socks laying in situ for the last 90 odd years. Tidy battlefield my left elbow. I can only imagine what attention you British might devote to the cleanliness of your loo.

    Oh Ja,

just take a look at their home battlefields - "pubs". You can't even distinguish your own beer from some pub decoration :D

Take this lightly my friend but, and I KNOW you already know-but for the benefit of those here who don't I offer this:

Do you know what the first thing a modern German unit does in the field?

    Answer is:

They set up their Bier Tent. ;-))

PS-I got this from my former roommate who was stationed in Germany for several years and rubbed elbows with German Soldiers from time-to-time. Also, he and several of his buddies were inebriated at soem German Bar-and someone in his group piked a fight with a Staumtisch full of German Fallschirmjager. Guess who won the fight? You guess is correct--the Fallschirmjagers kicked their GI tails all over the place. ;-))

Please forgive me urgh - just got to answer on this - on your thread

    C.Evans

You bet Carl - sure as can be + the Wurstsemmeln.

Most of the US guys are more massive build then us Germans - so we usually try to avoid pub confrontations with them.
However one night, and my mouth was and stayed wide open - 4-5 US MP came dashing in and beat the living daylights out of some 10 GI's. (Who to be honest we had indeed enraged a bit). The worst MP basher was a female MP barley 1,60 tall. I think she even carved four grooves into her baton that night. :D

I have several stories that go the other way, stretching from Singapore to Munich, in just about every language.

Nah....we never messed with civillians. Mostly Aussie and Canadians. It seems that Canadians don't like to recognise their French Ancestory and Australians don't like to be called French and neither of them like baseball.

Heh heh, ill have to relay this to Sarge ;-)) I'll bet that will bring back fond but painful memories.

Oh and, Sarge-my former roommate purposely went into North korean territory to bury a wheelbarrow full of Whiskey--which if never found? is still there. ;-))
