Im sitting here in my room freezing after a cold day, the temperature has been about -25 C and it has been reports about -40 C during the night. So how cold is it where you are now? Am i the only one dancing when im sitting?(I forgot to turn the stove on).
It's 43F/6C here. Supposed to get down to around 18F/-7C tonight and 12F/-11C tomorrow night. If it makes it that low tomorrow night, that will be coldest that I remember it getting here in the past 20 years or so.
Here in Illinois it is 12 degrees F. and they are calling for another 6 inches of snow tonight with blowing and drifting for tomorrow. "Up North" in Minnesota just received a text that it is 8 above but lows have been in the -20 to -35 degree range. I'll give you a personal account in a few weeks since we are heading there and plan on building our "dream home" this Spring.
My hot water heat works well, and even when the "power" goes out, my apartment building was built on a spring or something, and my floors are always "warm" to the bare feet no matter the outside temperature. It dipped down to about 8 F here in Billings MT. at the moment (46 C), but the temps are expected to climb back into the +30 F, near +40 F range before the weekend and into next week. These are near 10 degrees above the sixty year temperature norm (from 1940) of +15/20 F for January in the daylight, in Montana.
Well the house itself is quite warm, we have gas central heating (I'm dreading the bill ) but the weather outside is quite bad for NW England at around -6 degrees C with around 18 cm of snow.
Cold hehe, thats funny. Right now it is about 38 degrees C and is tipped to still go up. and it is only 10 in the morning.
Right now it is about 17ºF. I think the coldest I have ever experienced was -40º wind chill...we had a "cold day" (as opposed to "snow day"....)
Temperature in SE Pennsylvania got to 32 F (0C) today. First time above freezing since Friday. Another cold blast coming this weekend, with highs of about 25 F (-4 C) and wind chills in the single digits. When does spring arrive?
It is not too cold for a walk, i walk to school(Which is 2 kilometers away) and early today, it was -27 C!!
We're just North of London and last night was -6 deg C. Omaha, Nebraska was -25 deg C I hear..............now that IS cold!!
When I was a freshman in college, I went to a school that sat right on Lake Superior (Northern Michigan University) we had a "cold" day one time. It was a January gale with 70mph winds that dropped the temperature to a crisp -55 wind chill. THAT...is no longer weather. That is an environment draped in stupidity.
At the moment it is 27F (-4C). Sun isn't up yet, but we have already reached the expected high for today.
