Hi All, My name is Rob, and i'm brand new to the forum. Originally from Sydney in Aussie, i currently live in Brisbane and work as an Air Traffic Controller. I love anything to do with WW2 history, espically in the SWPA and Mid East. I had a grandfather who served in the Mid East and SWPA as a light A/A gunner in the 7th Division AIF, another grandfather who won a DFC doing 2 tours in Lancasters in the Pathfinder force, and a great uncle who was lost flying a Beaufort out of the middle east against german shipping. I look forward to posting, and i'm sure there will be people out the who disagrees/differs in opinion, i'm always happy to hear from you, I'm looking forward to learning alot from other members on this forum. Rob, Welcome to the forums I just a read a great book "Against the Odds" by Leslie Zwingli, illustrating Lt. Col Al Trotter's first accounts in the RAF. His assignment to the Avro Lancaster bombers, and the pathfinder division (156th Squadron) brings readers to the cockpit.
