Hi Meher, and thanks. He was very friendly and we mainly talked about the places I travelled to in germany.. he was impressed that I had so much interest in Germany, its history and many of its famous figeres. He also knew that my interest want an "unhealthy" interest-meaning that I didn't have an interest like some raciset-skin(flint)head might. ;-))

Of all the germans I did meet while there-I ran into only one-that was actually hostile towards Amis-and he was the dork who runs a hotelof sorts located in Bad Harzburg. He called my friend Susanne-a nazi because she had an interest in WWIi. He said some other things (all in german) but didn't know that I knew what he was saying. I gave him my most meanest of Correctional Officers-glares-that I could have mustered up. I thought it rather funny when he backed away from the counter thinking I was about to rip his face off. I really felt like doing so but of course didnt. Susanne didnt know that I gave him a nasty look after calling her a nazi.

You slyful Teufelhunden you ;-)) heh heh, no but I have alarge framed photo of him posted over my TV set

Actually, I almost did buy his autograph once. A guy who deals with stuff like that was at a CC gun show and I saw a great v Richthoffen montage of sorts. This included a brief history sheet along with two nice pics of him as well as his autographed calling card. The dealer wanted $1,200 for it at the time, and I talked him down to $800-only to realize I did not have $800 with me-I only had $600. Anyway, I tried to get more cash by the next day-and when I finally did-the darned thing had been sold. Soooooooooooooo, I went and bought that AC-43-Walther P-38 I still have ;-)) and I still came out of the show with $300 bucks in my wallet ;-))

Heh heh, the first Walther P-38 IO ever owned was one of those so-called "Battlefield pickups" meaning that back about 1993-1994? I got one fo those that were shipped from Russia toi the USA-and for I think about $125.00? This one was a BYF-43 make and had black grips-on and no import markings. I dont know why I ever got rid of it? but will never part with any future owned Walthers.

Heh heh, that $300 did go to good use at the time. I spent it on my then Girlfriend Jenniffer-and was well worth it ;-))

    Hello Carl,

P-38 IO, BYF-43 ..I got nooo idea about what you are saying - but I do know what a Walther P-38 is :D.
A functional (strictly forbidden in Germany) P-38 will go for about 600-900 Euros - so 300$ WOW!!.
And it's nice to talk about pistols - but do tell me about Jenniffer :D

    Regards

Hi Ange, I forgot to tell you a bit about Jenniffer. Actually, ive had two Girlfriends named Jenniffer. Both very pretty to downright beautiful. This Jen looked exactly like Princess Diana-only better looking and she had no freckles-not that freckles is a bad thing ;-)) Also, both her parents are ful-blooded German-mom from Deutschland-Dad American but both his parents full-blooded German. Eh hem, anyway, this Jenniffer was absolutely a blast to be with. I met her through another gal I had a lot of fun with and who was my girlfriend for a short time-only a few months because her father convinced her to move back to Chicago. Anyway, I met her through Michelle Vogel-anothe German and this one with Blond hair and blue-eyes. I guess you can tell I like German Women. Heather-whom I also greatly enjoyed having as a girlfriend for a far too short period of time-was also full-blooded German and was from Maine.

Anyway, Jennifer and I came close to marrying but she had certain personal issues which I was all too glad to help her through but-she never could kick a certain habit and it tore at her and we finally broke up. Her parents-as Heathers parents-wanted me as their Son-in-Law--bigtime. It turned out I was the only guy their respective Daughters ever brought home that they ever trusted and liked. I always get that from the parents of the gals I have dated in the past. Dont even ask me about Allisyn-another German gal I wa with and almost married and whoe parents couldnt get enough of me. This is a great but long story. I lost touch with this blond haired and blue-eyed beauty/ Allisyn now lives in the ""Republic"" of Kalifornia.

Ill greatly accept yer offer and with Brad (Jugheads) hilfe-on teaching them Yankess somethings ;-))

Oh and, besides my Walther P-38-you will fall in love with my Mauser Sniper Rile variant. Zis baby has a 25 round fixed Ansteckmagazin. Ze rifle was built in 1935 and the (MG-13) Mag was made in 1936 and is absolutely correct for zie rifle. Zis rifle is absolutely mint condition and has had exactly 4 owners since it was born. Ze Chermin Mauser Museum in Oberndorfs-Museum Curator, ze Chi_Eye who Eh hem ""Liberated"" zis rifle in 1945, who kept it till 1985 selling it to a Chermin who sold only Mauser Rifles who lives in Houston, and whom I got zis rifle from circa late 1997. Ive had many offers from many collectors over ze years for zis rifle, first bid was a mere $1 grand, ze last id for it was $20,000 which I also declined zat offer.

Sorry for a long reply and in Hoch-Deutsch-well-kinda ;-))

Its too late and im too tired to go back and fix the spelling errors mostly caused by my damned keyboard keys sticking.
