Welcome to the forum! Glad to see you here. I lived in San Antonio for 9 years so its good to see another Texan. I'm sure you will be able to find quite a bit of the info you are looking for on this forum. There are quite a few knowledgeable people on here that have helped me out quite a bit. Where did your Grandfather fly? I am friends with a B-24 vet as well and I have his quick release chute that saved his life when he was shot down in the Korean War. He flew in the Pacific during WWII and spent his service during the Korean War in a prison camp.

Again, welcome to the forum... good to have you here

He flew out of Italy over Europe. He flew 52 missions. That is about the extent of what I know. I am slowly getting information out of my Uncle but that is a slow process. LOL

Welcome Graham. I hope you will keep us up to date as you find info on your grandfather. Perhaps some here can fill in any gaps you find.
