    1. Your Name: Robert Berry, My friends call me Rob, Squrrelco3 came about as a result of my years as a firefighter. My nickname was Squirrel and Company 3 was my assigned station. Hence Squrrelco3

    2. Age: 34 Y/O, Will be 35 in October, Always had an interest in World War II ever since I was a child, got it from my father who is a WW-II and American Civil War buff.

    3. Origins: SW Virginia originally

    4. Specifics: Always enjoy learning about the weapons involved and the tatics, have recently begun to take a real interest in the war on the homefront. It's neat to sometimes find an old base, bunker, or facility that dates back to that time period.

    5. Hobbies: Building scale plastic models, wargamming (Panzer General, AG, PG-2), Also into flight sims, (IL-2 and FSX), enjoy visiting historical sites. My job keeps me on base at Naval Station Norfolk and the whole base teems with WW-2 area facilities and history.

    6. Other: Any period of American and European history, the American Civil War (see above...:) )Recently have begun to study the Cold War as well.

    7. Miscellaneous: Nothing I can think of right now.

Just for the record, I do hope you know I was joking and referring to the long standing police / fire sibling rivalry !!

Hello to you all, thanks for the warm reception, my service with the Fire Department was 10 years volunteer, will be rejoining when the kids start school.

I take no offense Huntzman, we actually got along pretty good with the cops in my department. We even had a couple that volunteered for us when off duty, plus my Father in Law is still an active duty PO. He's a detective and a SWAT-Sniper. I must admit though I though LEO's was a term only the Feds used... :) .

Good to be aboard, looking forward to some great discussions.

Even though I'm not a firefighter or a police officer, I'll offer my welcome as well. Your interests match with those of many on the site, so dive in, the water's fine.
