Soldiers Field Symbol?

    My father was in Nuremberg in 1945-46. In looking thru pictures of his, there are a number of him at Soldiers Field at various times. In some there is an 'A' in a circle on the speakers box (assuming this is for the 3rd army). I am trying find out what the symbol is in this picture (the arrow on a shield). I appreciate any assistance with this.

    I've not seen that symbol before. Will have to do some looking.

    Name during the rule of Nazis was Zeppelin Field. The Nazi Party Congresses were held there.

    It looks like a unit insignia but as far as I can tell is not.

    I dont know if I would call it an A, looks more like a pine tree to me.

    I am not100% sure; but I think that is the insignia for the Occupation Command which was a joint command of : British, US, and French forces. I am not at home right now so I have no access to "favorite places".
