When I was in 7th or 8th grade (late 1960's) I remember buying a paperback from the bookfair entitled "Great Untold Stories of WWII." Among many interesting things, was the story of the bombing of the Oregon forest by the Japanese.
Hello: Bert Weber has wrote a book on this subject called, Silent Siege. There were 2 attacks made, on different days. The bombs from the second attack have never been found. Billy the Kid:uboot:
Wow interesting read! I live in Washington and I remember going to the coast near Port Townsend and there is old gun turrets and abandoned military paraphernalia of all sorts inside these old bunkers that would literally go for miles! very beautiful view of the ocean too I went there earlier this year..They would send troops to there in fear of Japanese Naval and Air attacks.
