Hi all I'm doing a bit of background work for a cousin and it's transpired that her father was a Prisoner of War incarcerated at 87 POW Camp, Byfield, Greenorton, nr Rugby (now Byfield, Northamptonshire). He was German and I have a name for him. Following her birth, my cousin was subsequently adopted as a baby by my maternal aunt and uncle in 1948. She has recently been trying to trace her natural parents with some success for her mother but has drawn a blank with anything more about her father. I've done a lot of work on the family history and am now looking for any advice regarding where I can 'look' for more information about her father and I'm hoping that someone here can come up trumps. Regards Chiad Fhear
CF- I've done a bit of research on PoW camps in Britain, but this guide from the National Archives is probably your best bet for tracing your cousin's father- The National Archives | The Catalogue | Research Guides He may have become a naturalised British citizen after the war.
