i found these pictures today in storage, possibly belonged or captured by a relative of mine, theres about 100 or so pictures, some disturbing, but i was curious what the belt? is around the waist and attached to there genitals is?
3 of those pictures are pretty disturbing but i can tell you the one with the half naked guys are probably new Guineans.
yeah no problem. i also have many other photos of battle, there seemed to be quite a few of half naked girls, decapitated people, planes landing etc.
The first picture is a Marine in Bougainville Island - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Some pretty intense fighting their. The last one is natives that was pretty easy and one beside the natives looks like Australians or New Zealanders in new Guinea intense fighting their to. And the last one with the tanks is a guess maybe a banzai charge? Or a counter attack that did not go very well. But those are M3 Stuarts 37mm. You forgot the Airplane looks like a Corsair can you get a bigger picture of it? On second thought that could be a amphibious landing...... O and that's not a belt that's what they call pants.....

I'm not sure I don't collect ww2 items(Yet) but their are great people on here that are more than welcome to help you on that. But I really wouldn't recommend selling them. Yea theirs a section called militaira you can ask people their to se how much they are worth they will more than happy enough to help!
The natives are wearing a 'Penis Gourd'. It is a native traditional dress, ceremonial I think, maybe to impress the ladies. John.
