Not a new article, but this needs to be read by anyone considering medical treatment!

BBC News - Surgeon cut off testicle 'by mistake' at Bury hospital

"Ms Prichard said: "Literally as the nurse turned away to get a transfixion stitch, the incident occurred and the testicle was removed.
"Such was the level of concern they immediately realised it could be a serious medical incident and took steps to complete the relevant documentation.""

not uncommon for people going in for surgery to get tattoos labeling the parts to be removed. Might not have helped in this case but I have heard of people who get a giant tattoo on a leg: NOT THIS ONE

By the way. Fix your post. The top line looks like a link due to the underline. You might roll the url into that sentence instead of having it separate on the bottom.

I was clicking it like a fool thinking my browser crashed.

I know a guy who paid a VA nurse $100 to keep an eye on the doctor during an amputation.

That is one of those situations that you really don't want to hear your doctor mutter "opps". Sounds like this guy was more than inept, but a drug user as well. Now that is really something you don't want, a doped up surgeon working in that area!
