Got 10" yesterday. Spent 2 1/2 hours snowblowing and shoveling today. I am not a happy man. Temps are supposed to rise to the upper 40s by the end of the week.

So is not eating fried food...but it isn't any damn fun. Got up around 1:30 this morning and went out and wandered the plot to check on animals. Was that kinda cold that hurts your lungs when you breathe in.

A bit fortunate for you all. I've never seen snow, so I don't see a reason to complain :p

The only good for me is that I get to use some words that I usually don't use around my wife and family.

A couple hours north, and all we got was 2". Not even shovel depth. Just pull out the broom and brush it aside.

Actually, what I need is a smaller driveway that isn't on a slope. Or, you could come east and do it for me. :D

Woo-hoo, rise in temperatures and and good lashing of rain and most of that muck has gone. I hate snow, and if I could ban it I would.

The thaw hasn't made much of an impact here, Dickie. This morning while driving down to the stables along the side of the Bannock Burn, I nearly skidded into the water twice.
It was either that or the field dyke!

I live on a lake...inland....and there is probably...4 inches of ice. Pressure cracks and leak washes (what we call when the pressure crack springs enough leak water to wash the snow away) all over....yet I count at least a dozen fish shanties out there already...I love fish, but not that much.

No new snow for a week or so. We got some 30-40 cms on ground and -10 degrees Celsius. By New Year up to -20 degrees Celsius.

They are calling for 7 to 11 inches of snow by tomorrow morning. Gusting winds and freezing rain preceding the snow. Temperature is dropping from the freezing mark to zero F by midnight. Oh Joy!

We need more snow here for skiing. The big storm out here seems to have decided to avoid us. We got 0-inches of the 12 expected last night, for instance. The temperature is certainly dropping though. The Highs for Friday and Saturday are single-digits at best...of course, these are the two days of the week that I get to work outside on the gates all day. If you don't hear from me ever again, you can come see my frozen remains at the base of the Gondola on Ajax ^-^
