M1 Garand, obviously. One of the first semi-automatic rifles in use by any armies in the world, and perhaps the best out of all of them. Eisenhower said it himself- that he considered it one of the weapons that won the entire damned affair. Go M1!

The Mg42 is way cheaper than the MG34... First, it was the first MG using stamped steel so it was easier and faster to produce, then they took out the double trigger and a lot of pansy work so it was faster to produce.
The Mg34 is compared to the Rolls roice of the machine guns of the time... Not really worth the price for what it did. hard to maintain for a neglegivble improve in perfoirmance.

I'd go for the MG 42 as the best machine gun. It's trully a GPMG the first of it's kind it was lighter than the browning .30 could be transformed easilly from GPMG and LMG... It was cool

Handguns I'd go for the colt 1911 :)

    Cheers...

Blimey, where I have I seen Yossarian's avatar before?

On the nukes part, what's to love about them? Massive wiping out of cities?
Come to think of it, what's to love of any weapon, they all remove life.

Ya but what happens when they catch you??? Snipers are not treated well when caught. And should never put notches in their rifle.

I don't seem to recall the MP-43s, MP-44s and StG.44s being issued or used as a sniper rifle except in video games IIRC. It was deemed unsuitable for a sniper rifle. The magazine for one reason. The Gew.43 / Kar.43 had a sniper version though.

Also, the lack of accuracy in long ranges was a deterrement. The maganzine could be easilly dealt with as they could make a smaller one for that role.

Be a bit more specific. All German tanks were named Panzerkampfwagen; the Tiger series were named Panzer VI for instance, while the Panthers were known as Panzer V's. I assume you mean the medium Panzers, though, such as Pz.Kpf.W. III and IV.

I assume he was referring to the PPSh-41. That's the most well-known of the PPShs.
