    Hi, I've been visiting this site for a few months and decided to join. My father was with the 17th airborne but I'll be darned if I can find his name. I've seen pictures - no name. He LIED about his age when he went into the army in 1938 (he was only 16) and served in Panama. I've asked on so many sites for help that here I'm just going to do lookups if I can. OK, you forced it out of me!! His real name was John (Jack) Gerz from Philadelphia. NOT then one born in the 1890's. I also know that his name was wrong for a while. He worked for the US Post Office (federal employee) but no luck. See you on the pages! love, Mary.

I did a quick search online last evening, but mostly encountered your posts!!:) Like you I started off in the Forum while researching my Dad.
