I am looking for anybody else who's father was on Bougainville during WW2. I have a lot of pictures I would be willing to share, from there, that were taken by my father and his buddies. My father was a Aircraft Metalsmith " AM2 " 2nd class. I also have a signed Japanese flag that I think flew at one of the two airfields there. I'm looking for someway to get my flag translated, there are a lot of signatures and a characture,of Roosevelt drawn in the corner of the flag, with tears running down his cheek. sincerely, thank you..tmixjr68@yahoo.com

I have posted some pictures. # 1 of Admiral Calhoun's plane that dad was working on. Another of two men only names were Barr and Carlson written under pic., and one of my dad standing on the right next to plane. You can see them in the forum " War in the Pacific "- subforum Air War in the pacific -also there is a pic. of one of the metalsmith shops.
