I presume you mean Her Majesty's Guards: Coldstream, Grenadier, Irish, Scots and Welsh? I don't know which Regiment will be on duty. Steve W.
Here is a bit about which of the Guards are getting ready for the "big day". Goto: msnbc.com Video Player
And who are they? Bill Gates? You just stated it was a symbolic position and then infer thats its not by inferring again that England/Britain isn't a true democracy?? Australia has Elizabeth as the Queen of Australia and Australia is the oldest unbroken democracy in the world...We had a problem with the Monarchy back in 1975 but we fixed that! No one rules Australia except Australians...we don't even have a defence pact with them anymore. I'm NOT a monarchist, but its sure great to belong to an international family...countries you can rely on. Better than being alone in the world...Good luck with that.
one should deduce 700.000£ from this amount considering a large quantitiy of merchandising and souvenirs will help local businesses and even save a few from bankrupty.
Judging by what happened with Charles'n'Di souvenirs, much of the 'merchandising' will - for many years to come - bolster the stocks of the charity/thrift shops which will arise to fill the premises of those local businesses which do go bust........
I wonder if our "magnificent" Pres will give them a a a Microwave for their wedding present :lol::lol: That would really make the USA the laughing stock of the World.
That's one hell of an amalgamated regiment there. How do they get them to get along with each other when they all get liquored up on payday weekends?
:lol::lol: Or do you think a Blackberry is an appropriate gift?:lol::lol: Just thought of another, how about a gift booklet for free McDonalds food?:lol:
Ummmm, the statement was for both the Lady Di and Prince Chas wedding as well as the Pope thing. It was two seperate things
I dont know? after all, they could have easily afforded something much much better. I kinda wonder if it was the wifes decision for the Micro and the others decision for the electronic toys. Either that, or they were just cheapskates??
