Hello , experts, I have another challenge for you. This pair of goggles came with the Gemran boots and documents I bought last week. I am inclined to think they are sun /dust protecting googles , but the shape intrigues me. Most German goggles have the same kind of ventilation holes on the side and even the Luftwaffe type blue is okay with me. but the shape bothers me. All the goggles I have and see on the interent have egg shaped plastic, mine have shield shaped plastic, so an identification would be more than welcome. They seem old ans worn and certainly genuine, but that's about all I know.
They're very similar to the pair I have, but I think mine are most probably post war. They are indeed a very odd shape and don't fit to the face too well.
I just got a pm from another member telling me they are Panzer crew WW2 goggles . Thanks to him, he'll recognize himself if he reads this post. Now I will try to find a Panzermann pic wearing them .
a former Afrika Korp Heer vet showed me his, one of the few things he was able to keep upon POW status. his were very similar in shape and in the normal camo'd tan for the desert.
These are just German WW2 disposable goggles on general issue to all arms- you get them in clear lenses as well I have several pairs of these tinted came in black paper packets and clear came in off white packets These also have variations in material
Yeh I have several pairs as well. Sometimes the packets are inked or press marked with a 3 letter makers code, some have a date, they are often touted as afrika korps, but they were general issue disposable dust glasses. I even have one pair still wrapped in paper
