    Hi guys,

I am trying to find detailed information about the 5th FSJ from oktober 1944 until the end of the war.
I looked everywhere on the net but can't find much information, only about the Gliederung etc etc.

Do you guys have an tip for me where to look? German archives? Does somebody perhaps have more info that is not online yet? Unknown books?

Again, almost everything on google is well known to me.
And I am in possesion of Gerhard Martins book about the FSJ.Pi.Btl.5 (letzter lorbeer).
And the little book of Hans-Martin Simpel. (getäuscht und mißbraucht)

All further information or ideas are welcome.
Hope to get further on this subject.

    Kind regards,

    Nick

    Nick

this may or may not help :

    Files in Das Bundesarchiv

also if KTB's exist then you need to make an inquiry further to the BA/MA at Freiburg Archiv's

Nick I have visited those links on that page several times but am not sure as I was looking for something very specific for air operations of the LW. I know the Bundesarchiv is absolutely huge along with their well known foto selections which you can purchase, many Fallshirm fotos for 1944, now the question is whether they are part of the 5th is the problem, - many in Normandie but no unit listed

have fun searching as they should be able to help if you fill out the right questions
