    What is the nationality of the soldiers standing next to the downed A6M in the first photo? BTW These are all very good. Excellent post!

    I am pretty sure they were American Soldiers, but dont quote me on that.

    Pretty sure Americans...The baggy pants are very US...English or Aussies more likely in shorts...Check the tail on that sucker...someone swiss cheesed it...Go son!
    Japanese POW pictures are probably the rarest to get...less POWs per capita first of all... (mainly due to the marines and Aussie regiments) and because they didnt want to be captured, partly because of the treatment that thre were told would be handed out (false) but mainly due to personal and family honour as most of you are familiar with. And once in prison they were generally reluctant to be photographed for the same reason...
