    Hi all,
My grandfather brought this banner back with him from WWII. I was hoping someone on here could tell me about it... where is it from, what does it say?

    Thanks!

Not rare...just not common. I collect political/zivilian items. Sangerbund items do not sell for much...but the banner is beautiful.

After doing a bit of research it looks like someone on a different website was looking for information on a banner just like this...same town and everything...can't imagine that there would be more than one for that town/city. The story was the same...someone looking for information for a friend who's family had brought this back from Germany.

Curious if this is the same person...his/her answers went unanswered other than the info that I just provided.

I only have a small political flag, and KM marked 6x9 ft RKF......the third reich had so many different types of regalia, I reckon every imaginable civi organization would have their own banner....

Thanks for the information guys. I have had nearly all my questions answered on this site... it never lets me down! As for selling the item, I don't think I would ever sell it because it was my granddad's.

It's a Schwabish song association banner (Eastbank of the Rhine and next Alsace) . Westmark was the Nazi name for this area. Alsace (the west bank of the rhine) was annexed in 1941 , so the 1937 date shows it belong to the Schwabe zone (kehl )
