But isn't it refreshing to know that capitalism is flourishing in the old Eastern Bloc? Obviously the government and whatever investors see a way to turn a buck and will probably end up preserving it because of that.

So after the Eagle nest and Rastenburg. what's the next step , a brunch in a death camp ? I just don't like the idea either.
It's not just visiting an Atlantik wall bunker, we are talking about the core of Evil.
It will attract Nazi worshippers, not only tourists. The Stauffenberg Memorial is a justification, the real reason is called business.

I think it's a great idea if it promotes and saves the place for future generations. It will help to keep the memory of WW2 alive, and may inspire future generations to learn about, and become interested in the history of WW2. I feel the greatest dis-honor to all those men who served, is too allow places like this to slowly erode away until there is nothing left but ancient ruins with no knowledge of what happened at the Wolf's Lair, and to allow their deeds, and the horrors of war to fade away! Passing and saving the history of the past, to me is the greatest treasure we can pass onto futurre generations.

I think they should forget it. But I guess there will be enough tourists to visit the place so we cannot stop this.
