Brndirt, there is a very big difference between those who are unABLE to work, and those who are unWILLING. I have no problems helping the former. Its the latter that I despise. VonNoobie....fortunately, our Naval submarine forces, and (much as I love to rag on them) our antisubmarine forces are top notch. I would not be surprised if I were to find out that, the minute Intel pukes learned about the cartel subs, that all sorts of memos went out to multiple offices in multiple branches. I'm guessing there are Coast Guard cutters keeping an eyeball peeled, there's a map or two in SEAL hands with locations marked, and that any time someone farts aboard that cartel boat, there's a sub not too far away listening. I'm pretty darn sure that those same questions have crossed higher ranking minds than ours!
I think you are a bit overoptimistic in this regard. See: Submarines: The Cocaine Boats Head For Europe and a string of earlier such articles there. On the other hand the situation in Mexico isn't as bad as von_noobie implies, indeed it seems to be improving although still not good. See: Mexico
Why on Earth would Americans want to fight another pointless conflict in the Mid-East? Until those people get rid of their own psychologically inspired 'differences', they'll never live in harmony with their neighbours, as we in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and many other Western countries do. Speaking of fences, lets put a big fence around the Middle East. Let us further throw anyone back in that tries to cross this fence. Further still, lets cut off all aid and expensive arms sales to the said region, and then impose a media blackout so that only local people inside the 'zone' know whats going on there. Result? One man will eventually emerge as the leader of the entire region. We can then negotiate with him/her, making it clear that the aid will be restored as long as the region itself does not degenerate into it's old ways. Middle East problem SOLVED! Yep. Those fences work, alright!
That is just too funny.. The mexican cheech and chong were at it again!! gosh darnit.. the laws of physics win again!
