Congrats to Urgh , (he was jealous because someone noted my milestone and not his, so I'm repairing the offense) :)

Urqh has a truly British outlook, ie all Americans are Yanks, foreigners (like Skipper) start at Calais ; Finland - well, he's probably never heard of Finland.....yes, all is well with the World ! In fact, I cherish a mental image of urqh as being something like Nigel Green in Zulu...

    Psalm 46 - Colour Sergeant Bourne - Zulu (1964) - YouTube

    Marvellous ! :)

Urqh, I would like to offer the following advice regarding acceptance speeches, of which the above is a fine example.

Just to be 'snooty', I might just briefly point out what NOT to say when delivering such utterings....or for any other wards you might find yourself up for....

1/ The rest of the films were f**king awful
3/ No mentioning people by their first names. References to "Dean, and "Sammy", and "The Chairman of the Board".
    4/ Don't forget your mother
5/ Your wife will be unimpressed with a lack of a mention. This could lead to a genuine lack of sexual activity for weeks on end.
6/ Never turn down an award, a'la Marlon Brando. Notice how Marlon never got another opportunity to accept an award? You, too, could be hosting a Dentists convention the next season around awards time.
