We have a wall of tornado's heading out way throughout the Midwest. It was 68 degrees today and humid like May. Low's around 22 tomorrow. We need the rain bad, but hope I don't see Toto flying by !
I wish! Just spent most of the day plowing the 8 to 10 inches of snow on the road after last nights storm. Now there's aboot 18" snow covering the 20 or so inches of ice on the lake. For you folks in the South
We moved out the St Louis Auto show yesterday. 500 cars had to be loaded on transports outside.....Glad it was yesterday !
Hoping our weather moderates here a bit........it has been very cold and windy but not as bad as it was a couple weeks ago....we are in need of moisture but not more cold. I can't be opposed to snow considering our drought. I have burned a lot of fuel to stay warm with the constant winds we have had here. If we continue to get wind....we lose moisture as the snow disappears before melting. Thankful we rarely have tornadoes but wind can be damaging here. I have made use of a snow blower on three occasions, it was bought in this neighborhood for a pittance after many years of staying idle. Actual inches of moisture are still very short our normal amounts.
Hopefully OP doesn't get swept off to Kansas or something. We've got the impending snow-nami coming our way. The local meteorologists are very excited because they get more face time on the tube. I just ignore them and go about my business.
Okay, so it's still warmer in our refrigerator than it is outside, I won't complain. (27F versus 42F) The 2 feet of snow, ice covered driveway and current snow-storm carrying on outside right now (nearing whiteout conditions) will not get me down. Neither will the fact we've been 15 to 20 degrees below normal for the last month. Nor the interesting information that it is near 80F I've found the best remedy is to close all the blinds, turn the thermostat up to 80 degrees, turn the ceiling fan to 3, put on a pair of shorts and watch "The Master's" golf tournament while frying up a batch of fish. Calling for highs in the 30's but no thunderstorms or tornado's in sight. At least for the foreseeable future.
Epic rain. Prolly some kind of record here. 3 or 4 squalls that drenched. Was worried the hail would damage the car, but it wasn't quite big enough...Once again, had to brave the elements and hand clean out cold, rotting, bug infested eves...Desperately hoping to join Zeus... Johnny cat was terrified- which I enjoyed. Stupid cat. 14, you'd think he'd realize...Took some flood shots of my car in front of Albert's house. Dipped the Honda Nutz. Thought I saw it shiver.
Not sure what's going on here. The last two days it hasn't rained, the temps have been topping out at 74 degrees and lows around the mid 50's. Suppose to continue this way for the next week or so. Might get a bit hotter with highs maybe reaching 80! Had to wear sunglasses on the links today?
I'm a bit concerned. There's this bright, yellowish-white object in the sky. Has anybody else seen something like that? B)
No...your right its the sun....its here....everyone out....What can possibly be better than sitting in your overgrown garden....on bench with cushions....Guiness in right hand...cigar in left hand...waiting for girlfriend to arrive and take dogs to beach....2 Adults..5 dogs...this should be interesting....
37 degrees celsius in Alsace and only 16 in Brest...... same country but twice as hot when you go east. In the meantime the south is drowning : the Holy Lourdes area is under a meter of water!
WOO HOO, BABY...Hail coming now. Business vehicle may get damaged...Gives the shivers...feel so alive.
