Yep! I hang around in China since a couple of years working for a big old german car manufacturer ... I collect WW2 stuff since almost 20 years - unfortunately collecting militaria ain't taht easy in China. So for the moment i shifted from collecting militaria to building bikes on basis of the chinese Chang Jiang rigs and also did some WW2 repop Bimmer sidecars Will get back to Europe by end of the year (thank god) so i can shift back to more collecting stuff Plan to be at Normandy for the celecrations in June for my 3rd run as well will get to Bastogne in December for my 4th time Currently i'm getting more to the USN side coz thats still some stuff which ain't everybody else collects - actually for my taste too many paras 'n rangers out there - no offence coz everybody is free to collect or portray whoever he wants but i'd rather stick to that average GI / grunt than always portraying that "elite soldier" Just to clarify: i'm not after any kind of motorcycle-resto or repop business coz i stopped all activities towards this direction - cuurently my "real" job is too demanding and inparallel i'm in preparation of my move back to europe thomas
coz each time i tell people i work in china they get a big question mark in their faces ... only a few can really believe i love to work here and actually i'm more on the sad side facing the fact that i will leave by end of September there is also advantages here - one of the biggest dissadvantages is the lack of possibilities to stick with my hobbies / interests on WW2 thomas
