Let's not gender our speculated suspect though, acts of terror are not something exclusive to men

The funneling is an old IRA trick. I hate to comment on this thread to be honest..My first thoughts on hearing and seeing this and they are truly outragous thoughts are the Irish connection with Boston and I do know how daft and individual the Unionists can be in Ireland. Long memories. Last time I saw any video out of Boston, the IRA were marching in the St.Patricks day parade...Outragous I know...but Ireland has a long arm still..But I'm tainted where this is concerned. Which is why its best to await the outcome of the FBI investigations rather than look at any other avenues.

I hope CNN doesn't have to backtrack on this, but they are reporting that a suspect has been identified dropping a bag at the second bomb site on a store's video.

Let's not jump the gun, other law enforcement branches are staying "mum" or no commenting the story.

Apparently, they have various video pieces showing this individual dropping the bags. The arrest has been confirmed by various sources now. It may be some hours before they have a press conference and reveal who this is.

Amazing! Some "federal authorities" are saying an arrest has been made and others are denying it. Nobody has come on camera to make an official announcement.

Arrest or not, they do apparently have good video and photos of a suspect.

The FBI has denied an arrest being made, only a statement perhaps misunderstood by CNN hinted at an arrest without using the word itself. What was said by a local enforcement officer was; "we got him." This probably meant we have his likeness from a camera, don't know who he is, or where to find him. As I said; perhaps jumping the gun trying to be first with the "news".

The picture is clear and indentification is only a matter of time, let's be patient shall we?

Yup, I think you're right. It does sound like they've got a good likeness and so it's only a matter of time. Apparently, there will be a news briefing in about an hour so maybe we'll have a bit of hard information after that.

"Surely any conspiracy type theory has to have a reason and story....I don't see any reasons or stories anywhere."

Wasn't it Patriot's Day? http://www.timeanddate.com/holidays/us/patriots-day -Internal dissident. Unhappy about Taxes/guns ammo/Obama?....Also North Korea has been sabre rattling. They celebrated the GL's 101 bday...Iran is always a pain. Maybe they're upset about sanctions and the fact our women can ride bikes....AQ, they are always looking for a finger in the pot. Was this guy trying to be funny? “Wherever we find Americans we will kill them, but we don’t have any connection with the Boston Explosions,” spokesman Ihsanullah Ihsan said, according to multiple reports.
And the stupid NY Post kept on with the '10 dead, Saudi being detained' bit even after it had already been discerned...The NY Post is a rag. Not really a newspaper anymore....Canada has donated 50,000 to the U.S. Childrens Hospital. Peace to those injured/affected.

Oh man, it's getting weird...It seems that Saudi student is being deported. Obama had an unscheduled meeting with a Saudi minister...If there is any connection with SA, that student and his family should be bombed into glass. You know, an eye for an eye. That's what they say....What is with the U.S. and SA? Looking like SA has the US in its back pocket...Didn't the Saudi royal family get escorted out of US when there was a no fly order that affected the whole USA during 911? And now a bombing suspect is released back to SA. Disgusting if true....SA is backstabbing and backward. http://www.infowars.com/obama-covering-up-saudi-link-to-boston-bombing/ Evolution called. It wants Saudi Arabia to grow up.

Lets take a breath here and pull the conspiracy stew off the big burner for a spell.

First it is not all that strange that somebody is running away from a pair of just exploded bombs, likely I might do the same if I didn't have family members in danger. The Boston Marathon is one of a handful of events here in the States that is an international sporting event, so a diverse crowd of spectators is also understandable.

As to being expelled, it is quite possible that he is one of 8 to 11 million illegal aliens in the country (another good reason he might make himself scarce after the bombing), so his deportation makes sense. It does not help him that many news organs inferred he was the "guy" so getting out of the country might be in his best interest health-wise.

    I've decided to wait for 'Official' announcements due to the latest round of You Heard It Here First right or wrong journalism. Cases in point;
Fox News "Breaking News- FBI says they have not arrested anyone yet".
MSNBC- "Sequester blamed for lack of security at Marathon".
CNN is falling over their tongues back-pedaling from their (John King's) 'reporting', trying to place the blame on "usually reliable sources".

No disrespect Poppy, but Alex Jones is a flake. He see's a conspiracy behind every tree. Not that our government on occasion doesn't pull some off the wall, secret, stupid stuff, but not to the degree he would have his listeners/followers believe. My Special Forces group used to be tasked with providing assets to the CIA quite a bit, for some of their schemes. If there's one thing I learned it is, they have a tendancy to screw things up and then hide what they did. I think Alex Jones gives the government too much credit for being able to do things that they are really too incompetant to do.

"An-eye-for-an-eye-for-an-eye-for-an-eye ... ends in making everybody blind" - Mahatma Gandhi

"The old law of an eye for an eye leaves everybody blind. It is immoral because it seeks to humiliate the opponent rather than win his understanding; it seeks to annihilate rather than to convert. Violence is immoral because it thrives on hatred rather than love. It destroys community and makes brotherhood impossible. It leaves society in monologue rather than dialogue. Violence ends by defeating itself. It creates bitterness in the survivors and brutality in the destroyers." - Martin Luther King Jr.

As to infowars.com, a web "mouthpiece" for Alex Jones...Well, "right-wing conspiracy theorist" only barely scratches the surface. Forgive me if I find him/it to be a somewhat untrustworthy source of information.

Well one thing Mr. Conspiracy theorist doesn't account for is that these are just as likely to be police officers in plain clothes. "Craft" if that is in fact what the logos on the people on the scene are wearing, the photo of the logo on the shirt I am not sure of, the hat does look similar to the "Craft" logo, but that does not mean he was a PMC. Law enforcement also attends these courses, and he could just as well be a police officer that attended a "Craft" course on any number of subjects. The logo could also be any number of other logos based upon "The Punisher" a Marvel comic book character thats been around for decades (first appearing in 1974). That logo has been around for many, many years and predates "Craft" by a very long time. Check here for a number of versions of it, a simple Google search:
    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&site=imghp&tbm=isch&source=hp&biw=1024&bih=574&q=punisher+logo&oq=punisher+logo&gs_l=img.1.0.0l10.2310.6522.0.8698.13.9.0.4.4.0.54.349.9.9.0...0.0...1ac.1.9.img.7yERlyx3LBg

It is standard practice to have police in plain clothes scattered throughout the crowd at large events to provide additional, unobtrusive security. Go to the "French Quarter" some time, you'd be surprised at the number of people in the crowds that are police in street clothes, they've done it for decades, with good results. They do it here at our annual Riverbend Festival.
The clothing worn are not BDU's as Mr. Jones describes them. They appear to be 5.11 Tactical pants, a brand very popular with Law Enforcement. The boots also look like tactical boots worn by police. Now I don't know if the bag that the bomb was in was a backpack or a duffel bag. A duffle bag is how it has been unifomly reported. One thing I can say for sure is that you couldn't fit a pressure cooker in the backbacks the people in the photos are wearing. His evidence really is circumstantial and based solely on his assuming they are PMC's.

The old 'love 'em 'till it hurts' doesn't appear to be working. That's why there's a Guantanamo. ..Could you please comment on the article, and the pictures of 3 dudes wearing the same clothing identified with Craft emblems [ whose motto is: Violence does solve problems.] , and that they seem to have similar knapsacks as the ones used, etc etc. ...Yes blackness does not remove blackness. Only light, unicorns, rainbows and santa does... I suppose Piers Morgan is the opposite of Alex Jones. Both are extreme....

Thanks USMP. You managed to slide in before I posted. The post was meant for MrT...I don't want to defend or stir up any theories. But I think the articles bring up valid points...Any good investigator would be asking questions about the guys with the skulls, backpacks, militia clothing, earpieces...And could someone comment on what that guy had in his hand. Pictured with it twice.

Actually, no...They are the same...Both are more concerned with money and ratings than anything else. The "extreme" bit is all part of the act.
