A small change here, but worth mentioning as you Rogues will inevitable come across it. I've removed the Facebook stye "Like" feature and replaced it with our previous "Salute" feature. Salutes are much more in line with what WW2F stands for and does a better job of addressing the subject matter we manage here.

In addition, the daily limit of Salutes has been reduced from five per day to two per day. Ultimately, you'll all have to be more judicious with your Salutes, and ration them a tiny bit more. This also means earning them will be a bit harder also.

    Comments welcome.

Great decision Otto. I posted a lengthy quasi-rant about likes and salutes a few months back, so I think most know where I stand on this issue!

Thanks for this change, I feel that salutes made much more sense than likes here.

I thought this would have wide approval. It's the system we used to use here, so this is more of a return to normalcy than a change. The thread about passing of Clint Wigen really clarified the need to make this edit as soon as possible.

Appreciate the feedback guys, knowing what you guys want help me improve this place.

Agree with above - also...it is possible to salute someone (having put forward a good arguement - shown insight) without actually agreeing with or liking the comment...i do it all the time.

I was about to salute you but I've ran out in 2 minutes on line....Can British members have their salute numbers multiplied by the equivalant annoyance factor they cause to other national members please...Oh and give Cac same amount...Then we can annoy even more of the colonials in a nice way of course.

Just dont ask us to play sport with you mob at the moment Urqh...the anguish is giving me heart burn. Fancy...beaten by a pom! I could just spew...Something wrong with that on so many levels...the world has gone topsy turvey and im getting giddy...Oh and CAC is an acronym (nice spelling huh?) so all the letters are capital...but you knew that didnt you Urqh? : )

Which is I why I ignore it old chap and use Cac. The annoyance factor is aimed at all nations. Just some more than others. Aussies don't really do sport do they...I've heard chess is not so difficult...Or Bell ringing...

You might want to hold onto it, just in case. You never know....

I wholeheartedly approve the change for all of the aforementioned reasons, and for the fact that I can't stand Facebook.

Is it just me, or does the forum still contain the "Like" icon? Is it just my interface?

Hmm. I don't see a "like" button. I just have one that says "salute".

Interesting. Yeah, I have the classic blue "like" at the bottom right hand corner of each post. I wonder if it's my browser? Does anyone have any suggestions?
