Al Qaeda propaganda? Nope, an American union boss. Is it worth pointing out that it's been a democratic war for the last six years? Nah, probably not. http://freepatriot.org/2013/12/28/union-leader-tweet-wishes-disabled-vet-died-lost-limbs/
Hmmm. well considering she is apearantly located in A$$achusetts this is not surprizing to me, i would suggest that someone that gently take her back behind the woodshed and remind her of the sacrifices the troops go thru.
Sometimes people forget that all this twitter and facebook crap can go viral. I suspect she'll lose a lot of sleep as the storm of verbal and written retaliation breaks over her. A year or two of fear and misery will do her good.
Most American union leadership is dominated by the hard left. I'll bet this woman doesn't lose her job or suffer any consequences at all, because they all agree with her. Maybe they'll make her apologize and give her a paid suspension, which she'll spend in Barbados or the like. I'm not talking about rank and file union members, who are blue collar guys and tend to be pretty centrist.
Not a great fan of bib unions, but I have faith that the rank and file would disown her in a heartbeat.
Sounds like she was a child of some hippy parents that grew up during the Vietnam experience. Same rhetoric, different era.
As usual I had to see if anything here was remotely correct; "Jan" does not appear on the webpage of the 2222 IBEW but that also doesn't mean she doesn't 'work' there. An interesting aside - part way down the front page there are two links to Veterans assistance programs. That to me seems more to the actual stance that Unions take in regards to all Veterans. One thing to remember is a large number of the Soldiers fighting are Reserves & National Guard members, many who are Union members themselves. If the object of attention does belong to the IBEW she will have enough problems dealing with her fellow members. http://ibew2222.org/officers_and_staff
She works for IBEW, listed as an Executive Board Member - see this: http://www.intelius.com/people/Janet-Vrotsos/06y6tyagqcv
If you want to get the story on this, see Brian Kolfage's Facebook page. He (actually his child) was the original target and with some Internet sleuthing they've been able to expose the perpetrators behind it. Just scroll back on the timeline to see how it unfolded. https://www.facebook.com/BrianKolfage
It seems the internet has a great ability to bring out the worst in people. Life's too short for all that shit.
Yeah, but the Internet is also able to able to expose those behind such nastiness. On the Kolfage Facebook page, you can see how he set up a trap to find out who was behind the anonymous attacks - they actually used a photo of his child with threats of rape... So, Kolfage set up a duplicate (to Vrotsos page) on Facebook, and under Facebook rules only the administrator of a page can file to have a duplicate removed. As soon as Vrotsos had the fake page removed, she was exposed as the administrator of the original anonymous page. Now, the FBI has been called in because interstate threats to a child are a federal felony. The IBEW Union released statements that it is all a hoax, but Kolfage is just calmly laying out the facts and it is clearly not a hoax. What this woman and her partner are doing have nothing to do with the IBEW union, so I fail to see why they are allowing themselves to get dragged down by this. They may be fellow political travelers, but what this woman is doing is way beyond opposition to the war. They'd be a lot smarter to just throw her under the bus. There are several IBEW union members posting on Kofage's page, and they are outraged about all this.
Im shocked and that's boarderline treason in my opinion, for which lynching is the only appropriate punishment
Hope He's not including Brit disabled vets...As I'm now a 100 percent full disabled war pension holder over here...Can you ask him if he would like to come and talk to our UK war pensions facebook group...He could have a nice cup of tea and a nice discussion with us on his views....
I think it was mainly US vets because of the tax payers comment, but All vets should be infuriated by this.
I think it was a she rather than a he but still a splended idea. Especially if the state deparatment could declare them a persona non grata while they were over there. Venezela or maybe Syria would take them, so would Afghanistan if they had enough cash.
There is something wrong with this woman, she is suffering from some mental illness. For all the wonderful things that technology has done for mankind, this part of social networking makes me ill. Unfortunately, I don't care for current politics in my country, because I will never understand the left or the right or try to waste my time determining where I fit. It's all about who wins nowadays and there is too much corruption. I like to think the world is better than this and politics can bring you down a long, winding road that leads to garbage.
