As the old joke goes, he's like a second cousin, twice removed...but never far enough.
    He knows I jest.

Well since he is the WW2F court jester, he knows about jesting a good deal I imagine. It's just that y'all have a different style of jesting across the pond you know. We never know just how to take it sometimes.

    Welcome to the forum.
Blimey, I remember being 28, first year of being married, didn't have kids.
Could still afford holidays across the Atlantic.
    Lived in a terraced house.
    Drove a second-hand Lada.
    Worked nights alot.
    Didn't have the internet.

    Somethings have changed, some haven't.
    :p

I guess when I'm more apart of the group I would be the young vain yank pilot that just happens to run into "Those Crazy Brits"! Lol

Welcome to the Forum, Thomas. :waving: :_welcomerogue:

We do have some members that are long in the tooth (but only one "graybeard"). We can always use more younger folks with an affinity for WWII history and especially its veterans. We have some members who are WWII vets. These honored men can be identified by WWII Veteran in blue underneath their avatars. Some have threads in the Honor, Service and Valor section.

    BTW, great name!

Those are the men I idealize the most. Not those rubbish musicians nor movie stars.

You're not, by chance, referring to me are you? I reject that I'm "long in the tooth". :grumble:

I wasn't referring to you being "long in the tooth", Lou. (as far as you know) :)

I almost forgot, Thomas. Thank you very much for your service.

    Hello and welcome Barron,

The whole point of we old grey beards being here is to help and encourage you youngsters! And.it is very nice to see young people taking an interest. It helps to keep alive the memory of the brave men who fought this conflict out - on all sides.

Always keep an open mind, and honour the enemy when and where he deserves to be honoured.

    Regards
    Neville
