Regretfully, then several European nations are without a proper Appeals system then...Not to mention quite a few other nations around the globe.

Why are you not "crusading for their replacement as well? For that matter, Japan also has their legal system set up in similar fashion, as their prosecution can appeal all the way up to their Supreme Court, and only with the verdict of their Supreme Court is the case considered over.

if you are at all mindful of my motivations, taking me to task for posting this "because it won't be seen outside this forum", why did you reply at all?

No-one outside the forum will see it, so by your own standards, your reply is just as futile as my posting!

The reason I post this is that I'm not a fence sitter. I would believe two University students at the pinnacle of their lives over an unemployed drifter any day of the week.

The fact the Amanda Knox is American is of no consequence. The fact that Knox might have had sex before marriage, I care not one whit about. I will bring up my own daughter to be irreligious, liberated, and free from the shackles of social nicety.

Rafael Sollecito is from a rich family. He too is a modern, liberated person, free of the shackles of Catholic religocity.

they are not saints.....but they have no reason to be Halloween costumed satanic Perugia Rippers either.

Rudy Guede can make no such claims. He was niether hard working, nor was he socially a man of many freinds. His brutal attack and murder of Meredith Kercher shows well what an animal he is. I couldn't care less if he was coloured green.

So, we wait, while Knox and Sollecito's lawyers submit further bits of paper yet again to a corrupt and incompetant Italian legal system. Stay tuned to your T.V.

There is a lot to sugesst that many of amanda's statements were taken by the Perugia police under interrogations. Teams of two officers, using sleep deprivation and depriving amanda of a lawyer, working in shifts to brow beat and coerce Miss Knox into making confessions, rather in the manner of Mafia hit men.

The claims to placing hands over ears were made by Magnini, and were said to have occurred in the police station whilst descriptions of Meredith's body were read to her.

If I was in a similar situation, I would block my ears as well...

The police have taken so many statements from amanda that they cease to have any meaning. One piece of paper pied on top of another.

Are you from a relgious background yourself? I ask because the particularly odd emphasis on, and interest in, the sex lives of people (who I assume you don't know) would suggest such.

I opened with my thoughts simply because thats my style. I don't see anything being solved here, but thats what a public forum is for. And this IS the "Free Fire Zone", where almost anything goes. So stop insinuating and beating around the bush like some lawyer who says everything and nothing all at once. Be American and TAKE A STAND, whichever way the wind blows, (thats the way that she goes...anyway!)

FYI...I'm an Atheist, with a very normal sex life, and a family of my own. I have a domineering wife, and feel very henpecked at home, in the true spartan style. My inclination is to read, history mostly. I like to play around with the internet, but the wife is the real expert. Amanda Knox innocence should be trumpetted "From sea to shiny sea." The cause of liberty is certainly not obstructed by opinions. It's facts that count.

And none of you have come up with anything yet.

I once again lay down the challenge, particulary for you to go to the amanda Knox website and air your concerns. She is a REAL person, not some Hollywood bit of plastic. I don't think any of you have the guts to do it.
