    I love reading first hand accounts from the people who were there; please convey my thanks to your grandfather for his service and also for his enthralling memoir - it felt like I was right there as the mission was being described.

    Great description of air combat. I especially liked it because my father was one of the "ground-pounders" in Italy the flyboys protected. Thanks.
